Integrated Alarm Solutions:

There are many companies that can install cheap burglar alarms. TeleNavigators can also implement simple alarms and offer a single point of contact for our customers on multiple technologies.

However, our specialty is integrating detection and alarming technologies with our Video Surveillance and Access Control solutions. We focus on this because application of alarming technologies can greatly enhance the effectiveness of many video surveillance and access control applications.

TeleNavigators ingrates not only alarming, but also voice/audio and data networking technologies to dramatically increase the effectiveness of our solutions. Below are some examples of these integrated solutions:

Intrusion Alarms or Burglar Alarms can detect entry into a building through doors, windows or other methods. These alarms can then notify people to take action.

Multi-Unit Alarms allows us to achieve economies of scale in providing alarming for multiple units at one time. This can apply to apartment /condominium complexes, multi-tenant commercial buildings, and any other multi-zone buildings.

Infrared Motion Detectors use passive infrared beams to detect motion of heated objects, such as people in vehicles. Multiple beams of different strength can be used to cover different size and shape areas.

Perimeter Barrier Detectors uses long and thin Motion detection beams located around the perimeter of a property. These beams can detect people or vehicles crossing the perimeter and entering the property. Alarm Systems can then be activated to audibly and visually warn the trespasser to leave the premises.

Alarm Systems can also alert monitoring personnel verify an issue concern and dispatch the appropriate authorities. Perimeter Barrier systems are extremely valuable, where property is stored outside such as airfields, parking lots, marinas, stockyards, etc.

Emergency Exit Alarms can sound a buzzer, horn or siren upon the opening of an emergency exit. This audible and/or visual alarm can remain active until disabled by a supervisor, who can then verify why the door was opened and ensure there was no breach of security.

Remote Access Control can leverage a number of detection devices to trigger remote personnel to authenticate a local user can grant access through a door or date. Video and/or audio, along with other access verification methods can be used to authenticate users.

Remote Process Control can use any type of sensor to detect that action must be taken and alert remote personnel that an issue exists to be addressed. Video and/or audio can be used to gain a better understanding of the issue and what action is appropriate. A number of actions can be remotely automated based upon what has been detected.

An example of remote process control application is an automated manufacturing line that detects a problem with the weight of the finished products. While manufacturing is paused, an operator can be notified and remotely view video and audio of the manufacturing process just prior to the error. They may be able to determine a stock or tool issue and eject the faulty components to restore quality and restart the manufacturing process.

Central Monitoring Station Notification is used with most professional alarming solutions. This ensures the connection is continuously checked between the alarming system and the Central Monitoring Station. TeleNavigators and the customer can be notified of any loss of communication with the alarm system (from power/phone line cut or system malfunction).

Upon receipt of an alarm, monitoring personnel can notify the predefined authorities and/or personnel for a given alarm. Monitoring personnel can also do several other steps of verification so they can report a verified alarm or crime in progress. These higher-level dispatches are often responded far faster by authorities.

Audio Verification can allow Central Monitoring Station personnel to review audio that was recorded since the time of an alarm. This audio can help verify if there is a valid crime occuring.

Voice Verification can provide a two-way voice connection between the monitoring personnel and be monitored site. This can allow voice interaction between the person who set off the alarm and the monitoring professional responsible for dispatching authorities.

Often this can result in verification of an employee that simply did not deactivate the alarm properly. In other instances, it can also capture invaluable evidence from the perpetrator that can be used to identify and prosecute them in the future. Coupled with Video Verification, Voice verification can make it difficult for a criminal to hide from the remote monitoring professional.

Video Verification provides remote monitoring personnel with a picture or video of the area when and were an alarm was triggered. In some cases, monitoring personnel can also connect to the Video Surveillance System to review video and/or audio just prior to and since the alarm.

Voice Warning functionality can allow a system to instantaneously play a pre-recorded audio warning upon detection of an event such as a perimeter barrier crossing or door/window opening. The Alarm System can also alert monitoring personnel verify if an issue is of concern and dispatch the appropriate authorities.

Fire Alarm and Access Control Integration are commonly required by local fire codes in order to prevent exit restrictions in the event of a fire or other evacuation emergency.
